”We
hope to see momentum of GDP growth to continue in 2015 and that will be
a definitive sign of recovering from recession which we fell into a few
years ago, primarily because of the regional economic trends,” Dodik
told Srna.
He reiterated that Srpska is stable even though it is operating in a
difficult regional and global economic crisis and is finding its own
ways to respond to all the challenges.
”The Republic of Srpska is solvent and has good prospects, given the
significant investments that are already being implemented – from
thermal power plants to highways, as well as the fact that in the time
to come, the Government will make up a programme of direct support to
the real sector, the economy,” said Dodik.
As for Srpska’s future, Dodik underscored that the crucial point was
for the political structures in the RS not to allow any kind of a
Dayton Agreement revision and returning to the so-called “spirit of the
Dayton.”
”The ‘letter of the Dayton’ is a key point for the future of these
parts. All those who are unhappy with it will have to live with it. We
too are dissatisfied with the Dayton Agreement, but we adhere to it and
will keep adhering to it. We won’t seek solutions through some spirits
but through real life,” stated the RS president.
