“If Brammertz in
the past few years was justifying his meetings with representatives of Bosniak
victims by court proceedings against persons suspected of war crimes committed
against Bosniaks, he had a lot of opportunities to meet with representatives of
Serbian victims in that context,” Mitrovic told SRNA.
He said that ICTY
Chief Prosecutor did not find it necessary to speak with representatives of
Serbian victims and thus demonstrate his impartiality in the context of the
Halilovic, Delic and, particularly, the Naser Oric, Mujahideen, Ante Gotovina,
Mladen Markac, Ramush Haradinaj cases, and in cases of other persons who
committed horrendous crimes against Serbs.
“This is but an
attempt to justify himself at the end of the operations of the ICTY, and this
announcement does not justify him nor pardon him for his past bias and unfair
attitude,” Mitrovic said.
ICTY Chief
Prosecutor Serge Brammertz said that in the future he will be meeting with
families of Serbian victims of the BiH war.
