The Ministry for the Administration and Local Self-Governance
told SRNA that no such organisation is registered as an Initiative, nor
as a citizens’ association or a foundation, which are terms this
organisation uses in its public appearances.
Neither does the BiH Justice Ministry have a registered association
or foundation under this name, SRNA was told by the Administrative
Sector, which keeps such records.
An investigation into election engineering, conducted at the behest
of a group of citizens, has produced suspicion that over 500 people
fraudulently registered their residence in Srebrenica on the eve of the
local elections in October, following the conclusion of which they
de-registered residence in Srebrenica.
This case – before the Bijeljina Prosecution under the name Suljagic et al. – is under investigation.
The Prosecution has ordered the questioning of 30 witnesses who
deregistered residence in Srebrenica a day after the elections. Their
statements are being taken in Sarajevo, Tuzla and Gradacac.
Tied to election engineering is the case of the erasure of 1,730
Serbs mostly from Srebrenica from the citizenship registry, who were
stripped of their citizenship by Azra Hasic, former head of the Public
Administration Department in Srebrenica.
Hasic was questioned by police as a suspect.
