Asked by SRNA to comment the
request of the Chairman of the BiH House of Peoples, Sulejman Tihic, for the
BiH Constitutional Court to evaluate the constitutionality of the Decree,
Cvijanovic said that BiH bodies had enough time to put themselves in the
protection of its citizens in the right way, but that unfortunately, they
failed to do so.
“I am not interested in Tihic’s
initiatives. I am interested in Republika Srpska citizens – mothers and their
babies,” Cvijanovic said.
She noted that Republika Srpska
brought a solution, so that some 90% of written requests have been met, and
added that all cases piled up because of idleness, irresponsibility and the
non-functionality of BiH institutions will be resolved next week.
“We will not be hostages to anyone in
this country. Our babies are getting personal ID numbers and this is what we
want,” Cvijanovic said.
The Chairman of the BiH House of
Representatives, Sulejman Tihic, petitioned the BiH Constitutional Court for an
evaluation of the constitutionality of the Republika Srpska Cabinet’s Personal
ID Number Registration Area Decree.
