SARAJEVO
– The heads of EU missions in BiH urged today the BiH government bodies to
implement the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in the Sejdic-Finci
case so that the BiH Constitution might be harmonised with the European
Convention on Human Rights.

SARAJEVO – The BiH Security Ministry launched activities aimed at signing a
memorandum of cooperation with France in the area of protection and rescue,
said the BiH Security Minister, Fahrudin Radoncic, and the French ambassador to
BiH, Roland Gilles.

SARAJEVO – From 1995 to 2012, BiH inventors presented to the world 305
inventions, for which they received 1,174 awards, said the Deputy Chairman of
the BiH House of Representatives, Denis Becirovic.

REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Aleksandar Dzombic said at a
meeting with representatives of the Fijat Automobili, Srbija, Company that
Republika Srpska Interior Ministry needs new vehicles and that their purchase
might be realised by way of a line of credit Republika Srpska has with the
Serbian Government.

BANJALUKA – Republika Srpska labour unions, members of the Federation of Civil
Servants Labour Organisations, demand that the lowest price of labour be KM 110
in order to “level” the 10% wage cut, said union representatives.

BROD – The Republika Srpska Minister for Refugees and Displaced Persons, Davor
Cordas, said in Brod that a small number of refugees have returned to their
pre-war homes and that more should be invested in sustainable return.

SARAJEVO – The presidency of the SDP BiH announced today that SDP people living
in Srebrenica, and not “someone in Sarajevo,” will decide if this party will be
part of the parliamentary majority in that town.

SERBIA

PRISTINA – The number of security incidents against returnees and their
property has increased in Kossovo and Metohija, and the lack of a sustainable
solution for tens of thousand of displaced persons represent cause for concern,
said the head of the OSCE Mission to Kossovo, Jean Claude Schlumberger.

BELGRADE – Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and the director-general of the
Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development, Abdulwahab al Bader, agreed today
in Belgrade that the cooperation of Serbia and Kuwait is on the rise and that a
meeting at the highest level will soon be organised.

BELGRADE – Serbia and Turkey have two important agreements – on free trade and
on lifting visas – which is a realistic road towards improving relations, said
today Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic at a meeting with the newly-appointed
Turkish ambassador to Serbia, Mehmet Kemal Bozay.

BELGRADE – Celebration of the 1,700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan will
start January 17 with a concert of spiritual music performed by the choir of
Sretenje Monastery at the National Theatre in Nis, and will last till October
28, decided today the Organising Committee.

SOFIA – Only 8% of Bulgarian citizens unconditionally support Macedonia’s membership
in the EU, says a poll conducted by the Bulgarian National Public Opinion
Research Centre.
