He said that one example of irregular registration for the elections
for every court which upholds justice would be enough to void such
elections.
Dodik said that he is absolutely convinced that this decision “was
created in certain IC circles which wanted to remove this issue from the
agenda at any price.”
“We are surprised by such unprofessional work on the part of the
court, but what can we do when we live in this country, and courts are a
best proof of what sort of country this is,” Dodik said.
He said that the BiH Court does not have a constitutional foundation
and should not exist, recollecting that the laws on the BiH Court and
Prosecution were also brought under the pressure from foreigners.
“This Court and Prosecution are working on the orders of foreigners,
not in keeping with the law and determined facts, they being that
people registered their residence in Srebrenica en mass only to vote
there, not to live there,” Dodik said.
He said that it is obvious and clear that this is abuse. “Even if
the law allowed people to register, it is visible that this was
political manipulation and that the elections must be voided,” Dodik
said.
He said that this time the municipal structure in Srebrenica will
have to respect the laws and insignia of Republika Srpska, unlike
previous times when the Republika Srpska authorities did not want to
return Srebrenica on their agenda or the agenda of the world media.
“If this is not so, this time we will not hesitate to apply legal
provisions, even to the extent of introducing an interim administration
in the municipality if anything is attempted that is not in keeping with
Republika Srpska laws,” Dodik said.
Asked about other possible legal ways to challenge this decision,
Dodik said that the fight for justice at the BiH level is an illusion,
as is the state itself.
“This is something which is absolutely irritating and insults the
dignity of every man who cares about the law and justice. When you have
the Constitutional Court bringing illogical and unconstitutional
decision, everything is possible,” Dodik said.
He added that a group of foreigners have been ruling the courts at
the BiH level for years. “They then hold us lectures about the
independence of the judiciary, so everything is possible in this regard.
I think that it is illusory to do anything more. We will consult with
the people in our coalition at the local level and will follow their
advice,” Dodik said.
The Appellate Chamber of the BiH Court today rejected the appeal
filed by the Coalition for Republika Srpska and confirmed the earlier
decision of the BiH Central Electoral Commission that the elections in
Srebrenica were held in keeping with the law, SRNA was told at the
Central Electoral Commission.
By the decision of the BiH Court’s Appellate Chamber, all conditions
have been met for the BiH Central Electoral Commission to confirm at
its next session the results of the elections in Srebrenica, confirmed
the Commission.
On December 4, the BiH Central Electoral Commission forwarded the
Coalition for Republika Srpska and the SNSD its decision to reject their
request to void the elections in Srebrenica.
