Dodik: Srpska will back Serbia’s decision

Dodik said that not accepting an ultimatum usually
does not lead to anything, but if accepted, more ultimatums will follow.
”Time will not forgive those who don’t stand behind a common
decision. We are in favour of refusing the ultimatum,” said Dodik,
underlining that the international community humiliates the Serb people
and that it can be seen in this ultimatum.

Dodik urged for the unity of the Serbs and said that top officials
of the Republic of Srpska had come to Belgrade to stand behind the
Serbian leadership.

”We will pursue the politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina of not
agreeing to Kosovo recognition,” he said at a press conference after the
meeting with Serbia’s top officials.

The Srpska President reiterated that the Serbs in Kosovo and as a
whole were unjustifiably punished and experienced unfair decisions of
the international community, saying that the issue at hand was
humiliation.

”We should demonstrate character as a nation, and responsibility as a state,” said Dodik.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić said that the Government would report its decision on the Brussels ultimatum on Monday.

”What Brussels made was not an offer, but an ultimatum, and that’s
what I consider it to be,” Nikolić told the press, adding that it was
not going to be easy for the Serbian Government to report its stance to
the public and those they negotiated with.

”During the meeting with the Srpska leaders we openly told them
about the contents and course of negotiations on Kosovo, which took
place in Brussels. We also spoke about further cooperation between
Serbia and Srpska,” said the Serbian President.

The meeting between the Serbia’s and Republic of Srpska’s top
officials headed by Presidents Tomislav Nikolić and Milorad Dodik took
place in the Serbian Presidency building in Belgrade.

Other attendees were Srpska Prime Minister Željka Cvijanović,
Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dačić, Serbian First Prime Minister
Aleksandar Vučić, and Serbian presidential advisor Marko Đurić.

The meeting started shortly after 4 pm.
