Dodik: Need to preserve RS autonomy
BANJA LUKA - President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik stated today in Stuttgart that it is necessary to adopt democratic European standards but also preserve the autonomy of the Republic of Srpska, which is nowadays strong and institutionally stable.
In
his speech at the ceremony observing the Day and Patron Saint’s Day of
the Republic of Srpska, which took place in the residential Ludwigsburg
Palace outside Stuttgart, President Dodik said that the Serbs are a
trustworthy and hard-working people who want to live in unity and peace
together with other nations, and that they are trying to preserve their
national values, the language, culture and religion.
Dodik greeted all guests, especially the Serb Diaspora, and said
they were the best ambassadors of the Republic of Srpska and Serbs
around the world, reports the presidential office.
At the reception which was also attended by Serbian Patriarch Irinej, Dodik handed out plaques to deserving citizens.
Dodik also attended a divine liturgy served by Patriarch Irinej in the Church of Synaxis of All Serbian Saints in Stuttgart.
Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation Željka
Cvijanović was among the present at the ceremony marking the RS Day and
Patron Saint’s Day.
